WHAT IS LEGAL INSURANCE?
Legal insurance, also known as legal expense is a particular
class of insurance, which facilitates access to law and justice by providing legal advice , guidance and covering legal costs of a dispute, regardless of whether the case is brought by or against the policyholder.

It’s a legal expense policy that pays for specified legal costs and expenses for covered events (criminal, labour, civil, and family matters) subject to limits, waiting periods, and exclusions. The policy and schedule together form the binding agreement.
Individuals in their personal/private capacity only. Companies, groups, and any commercial or professional activities are not covered.
During the Period of Insurance shown on your schedule, for insured events that occur within Botswana
(see regional limits/exclusions below).
Matters may be pursued in the Court of Appeal, High Court, Industrial Court, Magistrates Court, or Tribunal, as applicable to your dispute.
No change is valid unless the insurer agrees in writing. The insurer may amend terms with 60 days’ notice; you may cancel within 30 days of such notice.
